Software Support

Maindec provides a full software service on multi-hardware platforms. The services delivered include software licenses, software updates, media kits and telephone support. Maindec delivers these services using a combination of our in-house support team and selected software partners and manufacturers to give a seamless support service to our customers. A remote management and problem investigation service is also available called MARS (Maindec Advanced Remote Services).

As a Microsoft Certified partner since 1997 Maindec has demonstrated excellent skills and competence in supporting the range of Microsoft products with particular emphasis on Windows 2000/2003 and the key Back Office products.
Maindec has support personnel who are expert in the Solaris operating system and can deliver consistently high level support, resolving problems quickly and efficiently. A full Solaris licensing service is available providing right to upgrade as is provided by the manufacturer.
Since VMS was first released on the VAX 11/780 Maindec has been supporting this operating system. Our skills are excellent and we can deal with the most complex problems that cross networking, SAN/Storage or application coding issues.
Tru64 Unix has developed through many stages originally coming out from the Ultrix environment. Maindec can provide support services for even the most complex configuration.

Maindec MARS Service
A monitoring system is placed on the clients network and into the clients Domain. This Network Management station, or MARS Server, is remotely accessible and has all the customers relevant administration applications loaded. These are products such as HP InSight Manager, Microsoft administration tools (Exchange, SQL Server, Event Viewer etc), backup administration tools (BackupExec & Arcserve), network configuration software like ClearVisn or Intel Device View. The exact configuration depends on the client’s applications and requirements.
